As Morgan seem to like quoting prices without VAT (which is pretty daft imho) I suppose we can forgive the incompetent journalist at CAR mag (I think it was) quoting the starting price for the new Aero 8 at £67K. I would like one at that price!

The M3W suffered the same fate as journalists who don't seem to be able to read or multiply by 1.2

"Look into my eyes, look into my eyes: it is only £67.000"

Not quoting the price with VAT is silly and misguided.

£79,000

Plus delivery

Plus fuel

With a spec so low that it'll be unattractive (comparatively) as a sell on. But it IS a lot of car for that money. It'll be interesting to see how much the top end examples will run to. spend

Cheers

I still find it amazing that a car like this can be built for this price at all. Small volume agile business benchmark in some ways.

Laser cut aluminium (TVR was smelly GRP)
Glued and chicken rivets (Long term strength)
Hand made interior, squeaks included (not naked ally - Lotus)
V8 engine and drive train (again long term life)

Whilst the bugs do drive me a little bit apoplectic at times it remains a strange thing of amazing beauty that it exists in this day and age.

I remain humbled that the business thrives to the extent it does.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I wasn't aware that the factory have determined what the "basic" spec is yet!

Plus fuel.......remember the days when they used to fill a car for you, my brother just arrived with that Z4 I was telling you about (loves it) and they not only delivered it but topped the tank off at his local station

Based on the show car? That would be without a roof!!

Expect extras to include:
- A roof
- And upgraded working roof
- Space saving hinges for the rear clam-shell
- Lower boot floor
- Proper fitting of everything
- Return visit to the factory - every year - for the first 5 years

The new Plus 8 pricing is for a stripped out model too I think.... £75k for a car that's very similar to the Speedster.
