Thanks for the sentiment. I totally agree that this car is really just for fair weather. I thought I had it but I was wrong.
To be in perspective, I still have a small chunk of snow on this, the last day of April, waiting to melt. Winter is long here. I am seriously questioning my motives for living here...
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
In less than 12 hours we are heading out for a huge MINI Cooper ralley in North Carolina (700 MINIs)... 600+ miles from us. My MINI will be running in front with luggage and supplies and my M3W following. We did this same run last year.... 1800 miles total fun miles in one week. We hope to clock more miles with this trip. It is scary yet exciting at the same time. The funniest thing is when people refer to my MINI as "the big car".
Missed you both at the Village today but did meet your M3W, had an amazing drive down the Dragon, fortunately we didn't add anything to the Tree of Shame.
Great run on a cold dry day following a fair bit of the whisky trail west from Aberdeen before returning over the Lecht. Photos in the Morgan Photo Gallery Section.
I used to be a regular on the Dragon with my MINI Cooper. It is actually, correctly called the Dragon, not the Tail of... The "Tail of the Dragon" is the t-shirt shop at the south end and web site. It was great to have enjoyed the road before the higher traffic and policing, BUT you can very much still have a blast driving it. Paul purposed to me on the Dragon and we were married there and we had our wedding reception at the Deals Gap Motorcyle Resort and Grill.
Super Car Saturday, 02MAY15 ... real Ferrari 365 GT 2, clone Ferrari 250 GT ... 200 miles with Windy City MOG Sunday 03MAY15, no pictures but for our new wool/leather Varsity jackets ...
