Bumble is due in a couple of weeks. I mentioned the led sidelights and 3 eared spinners but my tester doesn't seem bothered by either. Here's hoping then.

My Morgan has passed every MOT of the last 15 years, the first 13 it had three-eared spinners fitted, the last two with two-eared jobs. Not a single mention has ever been made of them.

My Morgan has passed every MOT of the last 15 years, the first 13 it had three-eared spinners fitted, the last two with two-eared jobs. Not a single mention has ever been made of them. Amd neither should there be - they are perfectly safe and legal if fitted correctly.

What is supposed to be the potential issue with spinners for MOTs?

As an mot tester i can confirm 2 or 3 eared spinners not an issue at all. Security of wheel fixings is ie wheel nuts or studs, or in this case spinners.
I have checked the inspection manual and no mention is made of spinners.
led side lights are fine too but must be white or predomently white, so a blue tinge is acceptable but thats about it, bright blue or any other colour is not allowed for uk mot.
