Buy a Wanner Steve... Never heard of them - until now. Blimey, Graham, they're even more expensive than my original choice. One of the reviews states "be sure sure to be sitting down when you see the price". Too right!

When the time comes, hopefully not for a few more years I will change to the hard chrome ones, definitely worth the extra outlay. Me, too. In the meantime I need to buy a grease gun with flexible hose. I was about to buy from a well-known dealer but the gun, the grease cartridge, delivery and VAT added up to just short of £60. Then I looked on eBay. A lot about and much cheaper. Price is not a major objection, but I want to be sure what I buy works, and works well, without over-spending (so easy to do  ) Your recommendations of supplier/model would be very welcome... Have a look at machine mart they have a few. Flexy hoses come as extras.

I bought a Metabo pneumatic grease gun, 54€ (£39) which works well, not too expensive and very easy to use. http://www.amazon.fr/Metabo-FP8500-901060983-graisse-Allemagne/dp/B000VE7X14 You can hold the extremity of the hose, no need of 3 hands. At the moment a small compressor with a 10l tank is not expensive, less than £80 and allows you to inflate your wheels, blows the motor etc... Avoid the grease pump where you need 2 hands to pump. The Wanner is compliant, you can pump with one hand, but manualy.
