A pun on Dave's picnic - Wiltshire ham? Makes a change from fish....

Too subtle for me

Travelling back from Kings Hill to Stoke Fleming yesterday via the large pile of unsorted bricks at Stonehenge the only Wiltshire ham we saw was still moving around outside their shelters or sitting inside the noddy vans with their box brownie for company..

For me the thread drift is natural and logical, a Morgan is about all (good) senses. Senses we enjoy nowadays and senses we like to remind.

BTW Renault 6, when I was 20....no gearstick in the way and a nice high ceiling.

I do like a good ham, fresh out of the pan, but don't get it very often. The ham that is.
We'll be close to the Henge again this weekend, but will obviously not be reaching into our pockets.

Do you boil and cook your own hams?

I'm not being silly (for once) , I'm genuinely interested

Yes "we" do...........

I can achieve this feat from under the Morgan.

MrsW is an angel in many ways and can turn out pretty much anything, and does an exceptional ham. But as I said, not often enough.

Believe it or not I am just about to prepare my own corned beef. You can get wonderful ham, smoked or cooked, in Italy, not to mention prosciutto, but corned beef is unknown.

Speaking of cider; we carted a litre of farmhouse scrumpy back from old blighty. I popped it in the fridge and the other evening I was looking forward to sitting under the beech tree and enjoying a glass. Unfortunately it has not travelled well; probably the plus 40°C heat had something to do with it. It is a bit vinegary but also tastes a bit of esters.

Alis wants to cook something with it but i have some doubts. What does the TM panel think?
