I hate to suggest this really, but maybe it is getting to the stage where, for want of a better term, the Three Wheeler Owners Group need to form an organisation or cooperative, if you will, with a single voice to negotiate over these problems.
I was also, unexpectedly, invited to that first meeting, which was very interesting, but also very polite, once we were all face to face. We all left thinking things would be sorted quickly and amicably, sadly that was only the begining. I am on record here as saying that I know a particular dealer, who had a cracked chassis on the very early demo car he had, and when he complained to the factory, got so little confidence that anything would be done about it, that he curtailed his dealership and has not sold new Morgan's since then, he used the word 'arrogant' about the factory attitude.
I sometimes get the feeling that owners with genuine problems are being met with smoke and mirrors and at one and the same time, they get the feeling that things are being done, yet at the same time nothing does get done.
Whether there is enough 'will' for troubled owners to get together and speak from a combined standpoint I don't know, I have sadly bailed out and added that extra wheel, (and two more seats) but good as it is, the +4 isn't as much fun and I miss the 3 wheeler. When I went to buy a Morgan last year I was going to the dealer to look at a three-wheeler. The sales guy very quickly warned me off, 'you don't want one of those', and I bought a 4/4 being the next most involving. What a brilliant car it turned out to be. I still look at three-wheelers for sale (Krazy Horse have a nice Gulf) but then I come onto TM and there'll be another new thread telling me I did the right thing ...

It seems that grammar police are like bent coppers. Do as I say, not as I do ... :P

Scott, all contributions are welcome, it's just that much of what you say has not really been very constructive, although it is obvious it comes from the heart and we understand the sentiments you are feeling. I don't think anyone would really want to seriously criticise you for your spelling and grammar, especially now we know you started later in life, my spelling is not the best, but I [almost] always read through my posts to see if they make sense and mostly, are spelt right, it just helps people take you more seriously, it doesn't in any way make what you do any the less good.
Keep your comments coming but just have an idea of how they might sound to others, as sometimes people can get the wrong meaning on the internet.

I have to agree with Calum, I was obviously in attendance at the meeting and it was the first time I’d met most of people that attended. We wanted a full spectrum of customers (those with good and bad experiences) to be part in an open and frank discussion. It encompassed all aspects of their ownership from how they thought the dealer performed right the way through to feedback on factory experiences. Obviously we were limited for numbers, so I’m afraid some of you were not invited ( maybe not an owner that had experienced an issue we were aware of)

Hello Mark
Thank you for your posting and explanation regarding the 2014 meeting with some owners. I fully understand the reasoning behind this. Almost impossible to have all the owners involved.
The situation now is that you have fixes/upgrades for some of the problems owners have been experienced or might experience in the future, but they are unaware of these. I just think with the forthcoming letter to all customers of these early cars to communicate these fixes and as goodwill give the option of at cost repairs.
