My father owned a Matchless engined 3 wheeler in which he courted my mother in the 1940s . I am told that I was carried on my mother's lap in the car aged 2 , so Peter beats me by a year!

30 minutes before I bought it. But why did I leave it so long?

Mid 50s.....my godfather had one. It can't have left a great impression as when my father died in '67, my mother wanted to buy a Morgan as the family car...I told her it was a bad idea ooo so she bought a Mini instead. The second time was beginning of 2011 when I sat in a factory hire car....and bought it!

First awareness of a Morgan was an "Autoquartett" a card game in 1970 when I was 11y. The Morgan Plus 8 took all other cars in acceleration. In 1978, 19y, suddenly a Morgan parked in front of a pub in my small town...wow...what an impression. The to me unknown owner appeared at that moment and I wasn't to shy to ask him if I could copilot him for some 100 meters. He asked "Do you have a driver license?" I was confused, then I replied, hm, yes. He let me drive for 30 minutes, he was copilot. It was a 2seater 4/4. Unbelievable and haunting.

When I was about four, in the late forties. My father was looking to upgrade from a motor bike and sidecar to a car. a local selling his jap morgan took us out on a test drive. I think I sat between them. sad to say my father thought the mog to small for three..,but the seed was sown. Bought my first a 4/4 in 1972.

When I was about 10. It was a 1913 three wheeler that our neighbour was restoring.
I remember being very fascinated with the car. I used to sit in his garage asking him questions about it and what he was doing to it etc.. I think I was as excited as he was when it eventually took to the road after the resto.

Sometime in the 1960s, my Uncle Bertie arrived at our house in one. He was a serial car changer, usually bought cheaply and sold when they died. So it was probably old, tired and rough!

But the seed was sown in 1975 when Caroline and I went to the factory one morning. We agreed, one day...

Took us until 2012: houses, kids, career, all that stuff.

Definitely two cars. One was BRG & the other I think yellow.
I sat in the yellow one.
