I did hear that the bolt is a quite different design but haven't seen it.

Should be a recall without any doubt given the number of failures and the 'fix'.

I had a close look at mine. I think there are still washers in there but there are 2 horizontal 1mm slots on the front where the casing ridges are. I'm not game to take it off to see what they have done with the pulleys.

Apologies I havnt done some photos yet , life is hectic at the moment. Will do over the weekend.

Found a way to get at these pictures while at work !

This is my car with the kit fitted. If you zoom in on the drive pulley bolt , you can see its not a torx , its a fancy hex head not sure what the proper name is.

This is the new timing belt cover with the slots. Looks pretty cool I think

Good pictures! I notice that all the bolts have witness marks which is a really nice touch. I think I'll pull the cover, check the pulley bolt and put a paint blob on it. It hasn't moved as far as I can tell in 13,000 miles but this would be a way to be sure nothing destructive is going on down there.

If Morgan have a batch of pre modified engines they will use them up & it seems unlikely they will change them.

My car made in June has the new cover so I'd be fairly sure you're right on both counts
