Guys im fed up with the spark plug caps coming loose after 2hrs of driving..what are the best solutions..?
I used pliers at the end of the caps abit but no luck, they still come loose

Drop of loctite ?
Crush the thread at the end of the plug very slightly so the cap screws on tightly ?

I've read all of the issues with spark plug boot/caps coming loose on M3W's, many seem to have this issue.

There has to be something not quite right about the spark plug boot/cap being used. How many of you have ever had "other" boot/caps come loose on other vehicles, or any gas powered motor etc?

My Harleys have lots more vibration than what the S&S motor produces and the spark plug boot/cap coming loose or off is not an issue.

It's not a big deal to swap out the boot/caps with another brand. Even a Harley boot/cap would be better in my opinion as this is NOT an issue on any of the forums I participate in.

I just looked at a downloaded picture of the wire routing. It appears they are cable tied to a brace coming forward and it appears there is a loop in the wire, but just make sure that with vibration there is a large enough loop that it's never under tension.

I first tightened the cap on the spark plug well & then squeezed the cap abit..i hope it doesn't screw loose anymore

The boot fit on the porcelain alone should be enough to hold the boot/cap on the spark plug.

Some of mine are so tight I have to use a boot puller tool to get the plug wire off the plugs.

I used spark plugs with the screw on tip for years without any boots coming off. They also make a plug boot/cap that uses the straight bolt end without the threaded tip installed. These use wire cap inserts that slide down over the plug tip threads. I think most Japanese motorcycles use them.

If you spark plugs have the treaded tips, find the boot/cap for just the threaded plug without the tip screwed on.
