It is I who owe you an apology, I made the mistake of believing the reporting, at my age I really should have known better. Clearly the reporting gave a considerably more lurid view of the incident than that which actually occurred. I'm very sorry if I caused any offence.

I hope that the court upholds your version of the event. Given that you are mentioned by name and a photograph was published I hope you are at least able to get an apology from the newspaper.
