I confess I have no idea of MMC's specified torque setting (if indeed there is one), but you may find this guide to torque values useful

Don't go mad Keith. It draws into the taper. I just use a short ring spanner with a good pull. Probably 20 - 25 lbs ft? Hard to judge.

I have found Autodata to be a useful source for cars that I am not yet familiar with and before I get a workshop manual.

Yup, me too! I don't normally worry about calculating an exact setting, I just use a value appropriate to the size range of the bolt. I only ever use a torque wrench on the important stuff, and the really important stuff is tab washered, lockwired, or pinned.

Agreed with Dave, a good pull on a short ring spanner but a bit short of a first grunt.

While some torques do matter, the general principle is to do a nut up to short of the elastic limit of a bolt, or to a lesser degree that does not distort either of the surfaces being joined. And if more than one bolt is used, to get all of them done up to the same degree.
If one has a medium length selection of spanners, the length is usually dictated by the sort of torque that is expected with the use of high tensile fastenings to join components of a solid steel.
A set of long handled spanners used for doing stuff up could well overtighten, but are handy for getting things undone.

I learnt the joys of a torque wrench when I was racing.
It was a great piece of kit.
Needless to say I loaned it out and never saw it again!
