Almost home and needed to get to M3W from the train when we passed the Simplon tunnel (due to winter conditions on top, rain and sleet, we could not drive the pass) mine wouldn't start.
I didn't hear the fuel pump so checked the fuses. All fuses OK. I called my dealer he asked to check the solenoids but they where also OK.
So I started to organise a trailer with all the hassle what goes with it. Before I left to pick up the trailer I tried once more to start......... and it started just like normal !
Does anyone had this problem also ?

That's an experience I never had, can't help you. Are you sure you didn't hear the fuel pump in any of the failed attempts, and that you heard it when it finally started?

Yes 1000% sure !!
I called this morning my dealer and explained what happened.
He said it could be that the fuel pump got hot and after cooling down it started again.
But that's look to me not the case as we drove not so long and the tanks was almost full.

Maybe you have an intermittent fuel pump - possibly caused by contamination/swarf in the fuel tank? Fairly common on M3Ws of a certain age... There are some threads about this issue on TM.

Here it is:
http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/301446/1
It also mentions a bad earth on the fuel pump as a possible culprit...

I had that exact problem last year. It turned out to be the ECU, which eventually packed up completely

My fuel pump quit (as in no sound at all) and then came back the next day. I had an engine check light and And only had about 20 psi of pressure rather than the 58 or so that a good pump should deliver.

My M3W stalled just as you mentioned. No fuel pump sounds and fused good. I removed the fuel pump and noticed the power crimps on the wires in the tank were not very tight. I pulled the pump out and tested it with a 12vdc power source. Pump spun up fine. I re-crimped the female spade lug and reassembled to the car. It's been working for 1 year now.

As a general observation I, too, have noticed the slightly sub par wiring connections. The internal connections that were outsourced are generally fine but the connections done by Morgan at the factory to tie these bits together can be questionable. Connections not tight enough, not waterproofed where they should be or tied in such a way that the tie itself will eventually cut through the insulation and cause a short.

Just another in a long list of things to watch out for. I also added electrical tape, wire, zip ties and shrink tubing to my mobile kit. It has come in handy.

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
