Hi We have been blessed with sun and (for us) high temperatures for several days in a row here in Bergen, Norway. Quite unusual.
After a trip last week my M3W I filled the tank (but not pushing the last topping), and left the car with the front downhill in my driveway. I noticed it started to leak some petrol to the ground, from about where the drivebelt exit the bevel-box. This happened several days in a row.
The other day when I was to go for a drive, the M3W startet real quick. But when I was about to drive, and the engine god some resistance it lost power and stopped. Then it was reluctant to start, but started. Same happened several times, running OK on idle but stopping when getting som revs and resistance.
I finally got some high revs and managed to back up into my driveway again.
Has any of you experienced anything like this?
Any advice?
On the positive side, I have found that it is actually fun to ride in modest rain (small drops that does not hurt when hitting ones face). I did not expect that sensation, but as we have plenty of such weather that could be a good thing :-)
Also leaving a happy pickture, waiting for the ferry at Halhjem.
Modest rain in Bergen! - whenever I have been there it has been glorious sunshine or torrential rain - or sometimes snow!. Bergen is my favourite place on the planet - I have many friends there and stay with one family just behind Bryggen on the way up to Mulen. Also before I retired I spent time at Hunstadskole and Eikelund out at Paradis. Happy days. Enjoy the mog now summer is here.

Thanks, I will! If it runs... (hence article text).
We sometimes say about Bergen that we have only two seasons; fall and winter. And we wonder why the wipers on the cars breaks as we only use them once a year (turning on in september and off in june). Great...
Definitely sounds like a bit of overfilling combined with nose down attitude meaning more petrol going up the breather tube plus a bit of heat expanding the air in the tank forcing the petrol further up the breather, and indeed out the other end of the vent hence the spillage. Open the tank up to let the pressure out and try again. Might take a couple of rounds of running it a bit rough then repeating the switch off and open the tank routine before it will run smoothly and any engine warning lights to go out. What's the phrase?..ah yes, "they all do that sir" Good luck with it.
Slightly O/T but one hot Sunday morning in the eighties the fuel in my Fiat Strada expanded as fas as a small breather tube on the side of the filler pipe, starting a syphon that emptied an entire tank of 4* into the gutters.
A neighbour alerted me but there was absolutely nothing I could do to stop it, eventually the fire brigade arrived and hosed down the street, my Strada and several other cars around it.
Thank you all for your inputs. As long as I know about the fault it ok as I can adjust to the situation. I like the "The all do that sir..". Still great to share the "issues". Sort of takes away the loneliness up here north, 600 km from the nearest authorized dealer.
Another shiny day today, and it smells petrol all over the area. I have let out the pressure now, so lets see :-)
Here is the tube from where gasoline is dripping when pressure is building in the tanks. Still odd to me that this is an engineered solution to this expansion-problem....?
