Hi everyone...been a while since I've looked at this forum, and any suggestions will be welcomed! I have a similar problem to Titus with all my right indicators in my 2010 4/4 sport having stopped working halfway through a turn during a trip a week or so ago. The LHS are working fine, its only the RHS that are out. The flasher clicker is doing the double time you would normally hear with a failed bulb, but unlike Titus's car the RHS dash indicator light also does not illuminate. Underbonnet fuses all seem fine but since a circuit diagram seems impossible to find for the "sport" am at a bit of a loss to trace the fault.

You may find that the 2006 circuit diagram is going to be fairly close.

http://mog2904.free.fr/morgan-traditional-parts-book/morgan-traditional-parts-book-2006.pdf

The fact that the flasher unit is faster than normal means it is an electromechanical unit so I would start there.

Do both sides work when you use the hazards? If so them the fault is probably from the flasher back to the stalk switch.

With the ignition off you should be able to continuity check (with a meter) back from the stalk switches to the fuse box and the flasher unit and then to each bulb.

Try and find the flasher unit part number and get the connection diagram from the web, they are usually fairly common pinouts. Make a drawing on paper as you buzz out the circuit (you may need to use a long wire with a crock clip to extend your meter).

You are looking for a faulty flasher unit or stalk switch or bad connections (inc earth) at any point.

With the ignition on you should be able to measure the flasher unit with the meter (on volts) and see if the flasher unit is working.

Check your bulbs.
One bulb failing can result in the others working faster due to reduced resistance and unbalance in amps.
I assume you have 3 flashers....front,rear,side.
Try the front first as that bears the brunt of rain and water can get inside. Check the bulb and for corrosion in the holder.

Thanks Clock for the circuit diagram...it might well help!
When hazards are switched on only the LHS side work though, and yes Sospan, there are three flashers on the RHS and additionally a right turn dash warning light... but none of them work.
Am thinking this means no signal getting to the flasher unit from the switch...or a duff flasher unit. As i think its an all in one circuit board on these cars (many ££££s...) am hoping not the latter...!

If the flasher make a noise when the RHS indicators are used it probably means that there is power going to the flasher unit from the stalk switch.

It could be a faulty pair on contacts in the flasher unit, but probably not. It sounds like the path from the flasher unit to the RHS bulbs and then to earth is broken.

You could try swapping over the left and right bulb feeds from the flasher unit to check that.

Also put a meter to the RHS feed line at the bulbs to see if you are getting power.

On my problem the following was the case.
1 No power to any indicators RHS on indicating or hazard
2 Light on dash flashing quickly and a fast zzzing sound like a shortfrom under the dash.
3 I then hand a smell as if something had shorted out.
4 On the bulkhead behind the central switch panel there was a blackbox where the problem was.
5 The circuit had overheated and burnt out.
6 The car electronics guy that Perranwell took it to had the specialist soldering kit to repair a printed circuit.
Many garages use specialist electrical engineers to find and repair modern electrical problems. Garages generally fit new units if any problems I was lucky.
Good luck.

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions, frustration got the better of me in the end, and as I also have an annoying fuel leak whilst the car is left standing still I took it down to Williams Morgan last night. Initial diagnosis is that it's the dash control module, the same I suspect as was your problem Titus. There's been no suggestion its repairable and although they are waiting for the part,am already sure it's going to take a few large scotches to deal with the bill! Am thinking there's a bit of an engineering design fault with this component though...as a simple short in an indicator should not be sufficient to cause this much damage(this is the 2nd time I've had one of these modules fail, last time all indicators were out but it was at least still under warranty! Best, Tony
