Hi all, silly question time, I am replacing the indicator lenses on my roadster and im buggered if I can get the damned screws to align with the brass widgets that they screw into, is there a trick to this, I have been on with this 10 minute job for 3 hours and the lenses are about to become ..... abused

Front or rear? If you change the rears you need longer screws.

Is there a little notch of plastic that aligns in the slot as on the originals? If so make sure the two bits slot together.

yes there is ,done that, the problem is that the brass widgets which the installation screws, screw into, are not fixed in position.

me too;usually use a little 'Sikaflex' .

It's the best way to stop the little bu**ers moving 'till the screw gets a grip...... mad

Yes they are only press fit and will do exactly as above.
Stick or better seal them in.
Also put a collar around the wire contact to stop it pulling through the fibre disc while you are at it.
