Couldn't make the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride...disqualified on two counts before reaching the start line... but this photo has surfaced of myself and my niece getting ready to set off in the rain from Luss on Loch Lomond. Some say there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.  good one, calum! you are right!!!....i had a very nice experience this year of driving in pouring rain for 8h and it was 6°c...in high mountain regions in france and italy. after 1h of getting soaked with water, you do not care anymore....its just water :-) i do have to confess: i did not wear my kilt! cheers mate andy

I thought the kilt driving wear was for winter only ?

wrong, the pipes won't freeze!....that's what the single malt is for!!!! Not until about -20 c anyway. And by then the single malt will be too cold to enjoy anyway
