clearly you need more pies and beer! lol... and looking to shift some of the extra baggage before the beginning of next season!! Ah, so that's what the Speedmog regs mean by 'modified'! Best of luck next season Regards, G

I watched a tall owner with severe walking difficulties approach his Mog. In a jif he was in and away so fast - Left leg in, drop, lift right leg under knee and swing in. For me 5'10" with longish legs the only suitable method developed in the 4x4 is to sit in, duck the head in and lean back, left hand on the Tunnel and stretch back across the passenger seat, bend left leg and swing it in, Bend right leg and follow through, swivel to face front. Reverse to get out.(have been doing thigh muscles strengthening exercises to achieve the last push to stand up as I have been known to have to turn onto my knees on the way out ) Its slightly harder in the Roadster, probably due to the newness of the seats (needs a bit of sag)

No probs. I'm a member of MAC and also Hagley, so a regular at Shelsey and Loton. Plus, I must remedy the fact that I don't get to Prescott ot Gurston enough. Hope to catch up with you both there.
regards, G PS I don't do sprints. As a Welshman, the flatness makes me giddy!

Gurston must average out to a sprint course near enough!! Hope to get down there for the SpeedMog championship again this year... Cheers,

I am 6 foot and have yet to find an elegant means of entry and exit with the hood on.
I try to point the car downhill so the doors stay open. My entry technique is to get my left leg in followed by my rump, whilst remembering that my head in these circumstances also prefers to be on the inside, then a heave ho with my arm on my right leg which allows the knee of my trouser to be checked for dust and/or abrasions. Exiting is easier - it can best be described as falling out whilst trying not to end up either on my face or sitting on the road.
Apart from the obvious joy of having the roof off, getting in and out is another good reason for going out in good weather.

... have yet to find an elegant means of entry and exit with the hood on... Hehe, A couple of years ago at Prescott, in the rain, with my '76 4/4, attempting to exit car, Dixon Smith was standing next to me (kindly holding the driver's door open). He watched for a moment or so before stating "Don't worry. There is NO elegant way to get in / out of a Morgan when the hood is up!" He did follow it up shortly afterwards to say that the later long door cars were a little easier - and was too polite to mention that if a lost a few stone things would be a lot easier (but I am just on 5' 10"). Cheers,
Graham (G4FUJ)

I just take a quick look around to see there aren't too many spectators and crawl out onto the kerb! ( The spectators thing isn't because of pride but Elf and Safety- it hurts when they step on your hands) Cheers, G

LOL
Very good. In the first few weeks my pal had that Lotus 47 replica (in photo alongisde by old 'B') my only way to exit from the passenger seat was on hands and knees. Mum thought that was hilarious... Hope yesterday was successful? Cheers,
