How much heat should I expect from my 4/4 heater put it on the other day and it was about as hot as someone breathing down my neck!!

So much not use now its turning colder. looks like I'm gong to have to buy a leather aviator jacket soon.

Maybe your heater core is partially blocked- try disconnecting the hoses and flushing through with the garden hose. You may need to top up the anti-freeze afterwards. cloud9

Or maybe an air lock or a disconected water valve wire.

Check the cables on my 97 +4 the cable moved a flap to allow hot or cold air in, you. As discussed flush the core. I had a Renault 5 TS once that was full of sludge in the heater core.

It should be a very effective heater.

If I is any solace: the heating in my 1989 4/4 functions thanks to to both the phenomenons of capillarity & osmosis and produces a faint lukewarm sensation after 20 minutes driving...

Would "Bubbles" refer to a potential air lock in the heater?
All three of my Morgans ('76 4/4, '97 +4, '93 4/4) have had really good heaters...

According to my garagist (Garage Albert in Brussels, of good repute) there is no way in which to improve Bubbels' heating. But thanks for the suggestion all the same, Graham. I'll mention it to him.

A good flush might well solve the problem. My 89 Plus Four had an excellent heater too.
