I would buy a ticket to see that. Would be quite easy to raise the money for the fuel.
All we need now is for a few "officials" to be distracted by something more important.

Very sad, I lived in Wellesbourne when we first moved up from Hampshire, I got my pilots licence from the South Warwickshire Flying School under Rodney Galiffe in the early 90s. He brought the flying school up to the level were they were training the future RAF pilots.
There are a number of thriving flying clubs who will be very worried as will the below ground level museum, the Vulcan trust and the popular cafe.
The axe has been poused over the airfield's head since at least the 80's.
Let us hope that things settle down again.

Just to clarify, I only flew under a Private Pilots Licence (PPL). It was the young RAF officer cadets that were trained at the South Warwickshire Fyling School (SWFS) run by Rodney who was ex military, cracking bloke.

Very sad to see both for the Vulcan and other activities at the site.

There was a change in the law a while back to encourage housebuilding that makes it much easier to obtain planning permission for building on brownfield sites. Unfortunately airfields come into that category and this is not the only one at risk.
