When our children were small we used to do the usual mince pie and whisky for santa. Hay and carrots for the reindeer. The hay got removed and carrots nibbled. Santas treats also disappeared. One year, for a joke, I sprinkled some currants on the floor . What are they dadi? Looks like reindeer poo, I said. I picked a couple up, ate them. Smiled and said Yes..reindeer poo! Tasty too.
