Sorry not this time unable to find a wood with thorns in . I said about

Pops it on the table and tells me to "keep off" after I let her eat my stuff . Wait till they are open its warfare or I will have a headache at bedtime .Women they are a law unto themselves .

The Cake and the puddings arrived this morning. Really fantastic service. Dispatched the same day that I placed the order on the 14th and delivered, despite the Christmas rush, on the morning of the 17th.

Now all I have to do is resist the temptation until Christmas. Well perhaps a glass of port and a little slice of Christmas cake on Christmas Eve smile

Well done Meg Rivers thumbs

I thought that JTL might be interested in the fact that I weighed our Christmas Cake today......just a tad under 5kgs!

The four other Christmas Cakes weighed in at 4kgs each. So all in all about 21kgs of Christmas Cake.....just as well we don't have to eat them all.

Mind you, I have yet to weigh the puddings......and I may well be one myself in a couple of weeks time! eat

Blimey, that's some serious cakeage you've got there! If you need a home for any spare, just let me know. That much cake would keep me going until the day after Boxing Day. Probably. But then again, why run the risk of staling? Nom nom nom...

Fortunately (or not, depending on how you view it) only the larger cake will remain at our house. The other four - two iced and two with nuts for those who don't like icing (apparently they do exist!) go to friends and family as presents. Even with two 'fridge raiders' at home for the season and visitors calling in it will be a struggle to get through the whole cake in 12 days - but as ever we will do our best!

The Mog might struggle with the extra weight in the New Year as well.....
