Beware the passenger side ballast, they have a nasty habit of reacting when questioned about levels of comfort.

Apologies for opening this thread again but I'm still learning/looking for the many fixes required to keep a Morgan nice.
Clearly this chafing issue is a issue and I've seen some of threads regarding bonnet and door fixes; I have a little work to do there.
However I've now turned my attention to the door screens. I've again seen a few ideas but I'm wondering if anyone has simply applied Vaseline where the screens contact the door and possibly the tub. I can't imagine there would be to much of a issue providing the its kept clean and replaced if dirty. I agree protection film might be a good idea on the tub as its more likely to get dirty and rub. Any thoughts?

Vaseline is fine on the bonnet tapes but it will collect dust and soon turn into an abrasive paste. It deposits black marks on the inside of the bonnet with an element of abrasion but not too bad. I've used a mix of leather, neoprene and paint protector film, depending on the location after trying various permutations!

Probably a daft question but do you think dirt would get between the screen padding and door once fixed into place?

I would think so. I use protector film where it rubs. Ditto.. And if you use the right polishes so the edge of the film doesn't go white it's pretty much invisible. Better than Vaseline I would say.
