Krazy horse are making my pipes, but i`ve not specified heat shields.
Instead they are making a pair of steps which fit over the pipes.
Two fold advantage; one, easier access for the wife. Two, should give a modicum of protection from burns etc.

I have been told the Krazy Horse pipes are rather noisy. A French member fitted them and was I believe considering adding something like Decibel Devils or Supertrapps to make them quieter. I also found Krazy Horse very unresponsive to queries, in total contrast to the very efficient and "bend over backwards" helpful Garage 56, so in the end it was an easy choice for me to go with G56. I don't know if Krazy Horse just could not be bothered to deal with someone living in France but a reply to my various emails to different email addresses and follow up phone calls chasing, would have been courteous.

I was looking into a waterjet cut and formed sheet myself for some custom heat shields. Could be easy enough to adapt a skull template to something similar.

True KH old pipes were straight through ,the new ones not been on car yet! So don't know how they sound, must agree their customer service could be a lot better,I now deal with George he seems a bit better at keeping in touch, he actually calls back and backs up with e mails.G56 exelent product they still in the frame, I just find them a bit large looking! Getting more used to them though....

Have you worked out a method to brace your steps? Could it go behind the side panel? I wouldn't want a visible external brace.

When i saw Stuart last year, I mentioned the heat shield/step setup to him.
He said with their new brackets, there is no problem with standing on them. He proceeded to step on the exhaust and jump up and down on them. I was standing at the front of the car as he did so, paying particular attention to the side panel that its bolted too. I was surprised that it did not flex.
When i queried this, he said it's down to their new brackets.

The exhaust in question is the one with bends in it.

Then again, i suppose it`s down to the support on the inside of the car.
