You mean i should not drill the pipes I just removed..the cats are just after the flex joint, where the pipes clamp/connect ?

its all up to you, and how loud you want it i guess.
I want to get the pipes cooler, but not go deaf, so I may do nothing, or I may perforate that first baffle.

When I did my pipes, I left the cats intact and removed all three baffles. The front most baffle is the most restrictive. I also added a garage56 air cleaner cover. I do not find it overly noisy and it runs much better!!

I did 2 holes in the cats & they were very easy..working on the rear baffles.but i couldn't find an extention so i used more than 1 pipe & they keep on breaking..plus i bought the screw hole from ace & they aren't doing the job well..i might use a metal pole & a hammer to break a hole in the rear baffle

Q8 The drilling only gets part of it. You may be still able to save the one you already did by drilling the perimeter. Hole saw is the only way. Do ALL the baffles, but leave the cats---S&S tech says the engine needs some back pressure for the electronecs. Your sweet ride will love you. OR go to Garage 56??
