I would be happy to be part of a hands-on demo.
I have some interesting marks for assessment!

I am hoping to sort out a detailing day at some point. We have an open day soon (can't remember the date!), so may do a demo or two throughout the day.

Using a clay bar is going to do nothing for the scratches. All that is doing is removing tar, tree sap, overspray etc. 9/10 times a clay bar will actually mark the paint slightly, due to the fact that you are rubbing the paint. I only clay a car if I know I will be polishing it.

I think it cost £90 with some bits so not expensive.

I bought the DASPro DA machine via an offer in Detailingworld website/forum.
I have Autofiness pads ( 6" and 3") and their polishes. I also have Meguiars Compound and ScratchX. Autofiness Triple is nice too for regular use after washes. Meguiars clay bar is used very occasionally and I am trying their clay mitt out.
I practised with the machine on a fridge and a freezer! Plus a couple of scrap panels.

Ashley......for the Morgan what do you advise for a curvy body as the concave and convex areas are potentially danger areas for overpolishing?

I've been detailing for 5 years now, and Morgan's are by far the most difficult cars I've had to polish! With the DAS Pro machine, you shouldn't have any problems with over-polishing, but remember, if the pad isn't spinning, it's not doing anything! I have 3 machines that I use... a Flex 3401 with 150mm pads, a DAS Pro with 100mm pads and a Rupes Nano with 40mm and 70mm pads. There aren't many areas I can't get into with one of those, but still end up hand polishing certain bits!
