I am 18 and have just ordered a three wheeler ! Where are you? Due to idiots at Brussels you need to be 21, have a full motorbike licence in the EC or be in a country that has implemented the derogation that allows car drivers 21 and older. The UK has. Added, licence thread here

one was Daimler V8 engined when I bought it, but I converted it back to TR4 power, Is this the car that raced in the 60's? There were 2 Daimler V8 powered cars in the 60s ...... Very interesting - many thanks.

My first car was a '59 MGA that I bought as an 18 y/o from a finance company. It had been abandoned at a gas station/workshop where I was a mechanic part time. Finance company just wanted $75 to clear the account.
Over time, put headers on it. MGB valves. Hotter cam. But no matter what I did, still had to conclude that I'd get blown off the road by any Austin Healey 3000. So, I sold the MG and got a '65 3000 Mk III. What a revelation to have roll-up windows!
Over time, went through a string of sports cars -- often each was faster than the previous one. Got tired of needing to see triple digits on the speedo for a car to get interesting.
At 65, got my M3W as a way to get back to motoring that's as engaging at 25mph as it is at higher speeds.
