Where are you?

Due to idiots at Brussels you need to be 21, have a full motorbike licence in the EC or be in a country that has implemented the derogation that allows car drivers 21 and older. The UK has.

Added, licence thread here

There were 2 Daimler V8 powered cars in the 60s ......

Very interesting - many thanks.

Youngest?? How about the oldest? I've had Brit stuff since I was 20,BSA's Several TR3s. I'm now I'm a month short of my 83'rd. Wouldn't you think I'd know better by now? Now its a 2012 M3W. Oh, with a cracked A frame mount, sigh

Excellent justification/rationalization to support ordering one up ASAP I'd say! Either that, or retire at 49 smile

My first car was a '59 MGA that I bought as an 18 y/o from a finance company. It had been abandoned at a gas station/workshop where I was a mechanic part time. Finance company just wanted $75 to clear the account.

Over time, put headers on it. MGB valves. Hotter cam. But no matter what I did, still had to conclude that I'd get blown off the road by any Austin Healey 3000. So, I sold the MG and got a '65 3000 Mk III. What a revelation to have roll-up windows!

Over time, went through a string of sports cars -- often each was faster than the previous one. Got tired of needing to see triple digits on the speedo for a car to get interesting.

At 65, got my M3W as a way to get back to motoring that's as engaging at 25mph as it is at higher speeds.
