Long time Morgan fan who a few year ago bought a 2011 M3W #004 so an early one!

Sold my M3W due to school run needs!!

I was looking for some OPEX I miss my M3W and its great to know the new owner is enjoying it.

I would love to buy another M3W post 2014 (model) but thinking my man maths could justify a 4/4 with a 1.6 sigma engine.

I was wondering if anyone used a 4/4 as a daily driver doing about 5k a year (I will be doing school run etc and the occasional 60mile round commute to work in Hereford- Gloucester too much info!). I am not a mechanic so looking for a more turn key/practical 2nd car which the M3W doesn't have IMO hence a support car.

I am sat thinking do I get a M3W and a cheap euro box or a 4/4 that can work as a realistic daily.

Any observations experiences owning a M3W to a 4/4 appreciated.

Not exactly a daily, but 7000 miles in the last year. No problems at all except a lost & found hood rail nut.

A GDi +4 will be exactly the same.

KEVFITZ uses his more than me & he's an ex-Porsche man..!

I changed from the M3W to extend my driving season as the 4/4 had a hood & heater etc..

I wouldn't hesitate in getting a 4/4 Sigma - I had a Sport in 2009 and put 24,000mls on it in 4 years and it was perfectly reliable. There is another guy on here called Jeremy (WR142LL) that uses his as a daily driver and when he last surfaced on here about a year ago had put about 70,000miles on his.

The M3W has had a myriad of problems the latest of which is cracked main frame. These are proving to be very expensive ownerships. For confirmation just check the Three Wheeler threads, I wouldn't entertain one until the factory has the whole package thoroughly developed especially for a daily driver personally however exciting they are to drive.

I think Jeremy has now done over 90,000 miles and still going throng.

That's good news Roger - is he barging around Amsterdam nowadays I haven't seen a post on here since last October - perhaps he has retired out there ...

Every Morgan - all but one has been a 4/4, I've owned has been has been used as a daily driver. My 1992 4/4, owned from new covered in excess of 100,000 miles by the time I sold it.

If finances are a bit tight how about a M3W and, say, a 4/4 Kent or CVH as a daily driver? Maybe a 4 seater for practicality and little or nil depreciation!

I commuted c 70 miles per day in both my 94 4/4 & 97 +4.
Thoroughly enjoyable. Go for it.

The two are very different driving experiences.

Just like SBM I have had both.

Loved my M3W - and would love another - if I had a double garage or a rented a second garage.

When I bought my 4/4 it was clear that it was a much more comfortable drive, more useable,more weather friendly with the side screens,hood and heater etc.Better on longer trips.

So there you are - not much help I guess?

No doubt the 4/4 would IMO be the better choice.

This is not to offend my many M3W mates!!

250,000 in my Kent 4/4. 30,000 p.a for the first three years. I would imagine a Sigma would be just as reliable.
