Concur with the above, so chuffed Neil and his neoprene has done the trick.
I now have to tell the dealer who says lots of customers are complaining about the whistle noise.
So I get it right, it's about 3mm thickness by 5mm width and it is the circumference of the lense bezel in self adhesive neoprene.
Does anyone know what the rubber seal (that we had to remove) on top of the headlamp bezel was for? Could that have been an ineffective Morgan factory anti whistle mod?
Cheers, Giles

No photo but you can stick it either to the headlamp retaining ring, or inside the outer bezel towards the front. It doesn't need to be very wide - 5mm is about right.

Hooray!
I don't miss the noise, and I can hear the roar of the wind much better.
Less, gone with the wind, more getting the wind up!

Another potential success here....thanks to Neil!!

I fixed some of the neoprene sealing strip he sent to each headlamp trim ring, all the way round and following the guidance of the original seals, which I found flopping about after taking the chrome ring off.

This is what the originals looked like.
It is clear that the adhesive used is not up to 3 years exposure to rain and moisture.

They look, from the adhesive remains, as though they were fitted at the top.
I cannot understand how a short length of sealing strip at the top can eliminate the whistle. Surely to be effective the seal needs to be round the full edge of the ring.

Off to test the car this bright, sunny afternoon!

Peter. I don't think that the short piece of neoprene that Morgan puts in is intended to stop the whistle. It provides a cushion where the rim is mounted and probably helps to stop it rattling and/or falling off.

That is more logical....

The whistle seems less, but the real test is going under a bridge ay 70mph on the motorway. It is there that the noise is most noticeable!

More after this weekend's trip to Arundel Castle on Sunday for the "Drive it Day" event.

The noise has completely gone for me Peter.
I am now graced by the howling rush of wind as speed increases to 60 (or 70 on a dual carriageway).
It's all gone very natural. smile

I'm not sure that I can take full credit for this. I became aware of it on MGB Roadsters way back but I think others have also resolved it this way on Morgans.

However I'm prepared to step forward and take a bow............
