Car collected and it looks like new. He wouldn't let the minions work on it - did all the work himself and even waxed it. I'll inevitably be charged half the labour time it actually took smile

The leather work looks a lot better - and I'll keep everyone informed of how well it lasts.

The tyres are Dunlop Sport Maxx RT - combined with the well greased suspension components the steering is now slightly softer and the ride much improved. I also have a sneaking suspicion that the car was supplied on 30 rear rubber. It now has 35. It might just be the tyres give a better ride but it also might be helped by an increase in profile.

I also managed to pop in and check on the Alpina - should be back with me within a week.

Hi Ken,

I've posted the tyre part of your post here Ken. Hope you don't mind as this thread is covering some issues specifically for the Aero's. Thanks

It was lashing down on the way back here today too. The wax worked a treat as did the "motor factor' rubber I used last time I replaced the blades.

I'll forgive the fact it leaked again frown

weather has been stunning in NI so until Thursday i have been using the S1 every day for a couple of weeks. its been superb, the sports exhausts have transformed the driving experience ... smiles all the way. I commuted back and forward a hour or so each way my office to our 'tin box on the beach' and was almost sorry when i arrived!!! reliability has been great thankfully ... that's 5000 miles since last June.

A little from the top of the drivers side window - and I think some come up in through the bottom of the door. Compared to how bad it was when I bought it is positively sahara in there now smile

Ken,

Tarka also leaks round the bottom of the drivers door, but only when the rain or spray is being driven sideways. I carry an old hand towel to keep any leak under control.

No other leaks...
