Any indication of when Mk2 will be revealed? Could be good for values of Mk1s.

Hi RoadsterBoy.
The news of modifications to what was a pretty fine auto-mobile, may not be going down to well at the moment.
Especially to those whom already have one.

With the new exhaust layout (which i have not seen yet), those who already have a 3 wheeler, may not like.
New prospective owners may find it acceptable.
When the us spec headlights first appeared, i personally liked them.
Even though many state side owners are changing them back. I guess, horses for courses.

I will admit i find the wider rear light pods damn ugly and now dead easy to snag or snap off, all in all not good.
My first thought is to get them reduced in width.
So if any can make a reduced width light pod arm, i will be interested.

As reported my another member here, testing for emission purposes has been completed and it passed.

Ride height adjusted 4" higher. Overall or just ground clearance?
That will make the wife happy. She struggles getting in an out of my Saab.
Just as well i asked my dealer to make a step over the passenger exhaust, no heat shields to get in the way.

So if all testing has been completed we should soon see new updated cars starting to be built.

Front mudguards mega wide, maybe now i can have side lights mounted on them.
Anyone now where to get reasonably price mudguards similar to the Czech guy?

After speaking to my dealer a couple of weeks back, he said, because they are making the exhaust system to my design, it will not be affected by the new legislation.
At the time i was unaware of the changes.
So i guess now no balance pipe running around the front!

I will be picking up my M3W Monday morning. I have the brackets to convert the American headlights back to the original layout. My questions are: Will there be any issues removing the bolts in the top of the coil-over shock and upper A-arm? What about replacing the bolts? Do the springs need to bee compressed or will I be able to do it without spring compressors?

Any advice/tips will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jack the front up to take the weight off the wheels ( just a millimetre ground clearance) then the shocks are free to be loosened. all straight forward spannering really......

Looking at mine, I don't believe you have to remove the bolt as it comes through from the rear. You just undo the nut in the front to replace the bracket, so no need to worry about the suspension load.

Those exhausts look crack-tastic.
If I was buying again, I would not buy that.
Well done Morgan, you have upped the resale value of my original M£W ( not a typo ).
