Planenut was taking lots of pics of the Brooklands exhausts at the request of a U.K. Owner, so I guess when he's back on line he'll post them up for you. The owner (Swiss) is on his third set. Laurens will I am sure have his contact details if you pm him.

A couple of pictures of interesting cars at Grindelwald. That split bonnet looks almost 'factory', doesn't it..? If only they would.. And the curved ends of the blue cars exhaust tip looks great, too..!

If the oil tank could be re-designed to be mounted over the steering column, the whole of the passenger side under bonnet area would be freed up. What a difference that would make for touring - especially 2 up.

Just said goodbyes to Chris Paul Jake and Ian - interesting journey yesterday as we were within 2 miles of our hotel in bernkastle and had to turn around and take a 25 mile detour - so next stop Aachen

There was a brooklands here. Really? Are there pictyures of this car? I'd like to know more, especially if its owner has created his own exhausts, or modified them, what experience he has? I have clocked during these 3 troubled years of ownership only about 12.000 kms with my own, and I consider myself a long distance runner (as anyone that knows my posting history knows), but so far no exhaust set has lasted more than consecutive 3.000 kms without cracking (and some a lot less), so any dream of attending a M3W Jungfrau-Treffen (and back) is squashed by previous experience and reasoned thought. Hi Mario! It seems I am a long distance runner too. After one of the original (standard) pipes cracked at some 12.000km I got the stage one kit and drive it since without problems (another 12.000km). Have you had a Mog stage one kit fittd so,far?

Hi Hannes, no I haven't, I'm trying to keep the M3W as stock as possible until this exhaust issue is properly sorted, or else I'm afraid I would hear MMC, with the nicest of voices, saying that it was my meddling with the car that made the exhausts crack at the known alarming rate. One has to be careful with the use of "legalese", especially when the going gets tough.
EDIT - Meanwhile, I have received photos of the Brooklands that was in this latest Jungfrau-Treffen, and there's some interesting work he has done (and will do more) to keep his exhausts from cracking. With his authorization I will in due time share the pictures the owner sent me and also my own experiment with a second flexy joint.

Another of the squadron returns home after 1,955 miles in 10 days of fun, camaraderie and superb roads. Thanks once again to Laurens and Rineke for another wonderful Jungfrau-Treffen, particularity in view of the sometimes challenging weather. I'm looking forward to next year's (and the return of the sunshine....) It was great travelling with Ian, Mark & Het, Paul & Jake, Phil & Nicky and Roger. For those still on the road have a safe reminder of your trip. Hopefully see you all again soon.
