TM is by far the most gentlemanly forum I've visited. When I was on the MG forum way back, it could get very caustic, and of course SELOC, the Lotus forum is awash with testosterone.

On the matter of moving on from Morgan, I understand the mindset. It happened to me with MG, after 'a lifetime' of involvement and ten MGs, one day I realised I'd had enough, and done and seen it all. One door closed and another door opened.

I don't envisage moving on from Morgan, but who knows what the future holds. I'm happy with the product and the experience, and I accept the idiosynchrasies of the brand. Yes I wish that MMC would grab hold of the spares situation and make it world class. Yes I wish that some bits and pieces were better quality, but the fact is that Morgans survive over the years when cars which were rivals in the 50's, 60's, 70's and so on, and were made in much larger numbers do not.

I read views on TM with interest no matter what they are - its just like listening in to a conversation in the pub. But I'm totally relaxed about it.

Tenuous link...............

I was in the coffee shop last week with two colleagues and we were talking cars, and basically about what I might get next for MrsW. On the next table, the customer as listening and chipped in.
"Whatever you do, don't get one of those" he said. I bought a new one last year and its been the worst and most unreliable car I've ever had. It needed a new engine at 10,000 miles and its constant trouble.................."
"The quality is nowhere near as good as my previous car, An Audi TT".

Just the fact TM is unmoderated makes this Forum OK for Me. Or should I say "Self Moderated". It seems TM is designed very well for those that want to discuss subjects other than Morgan.

I bought my wife a Mk1 Audi TT Quattro two years ago for very little money compared to what they were new. The boss loves it, and it’s been totally reliable.....so I love it too.👌

Hello Steve,

I have noticed that the tone of posts has somewhat changed of late. In fact I have not been posting as much as I used to because when I did make to odd comical remark it seemed to be lost to most or got the wrong reaction. Never mind you can always have a private laugh with/at me Steve. laugh2

Maybe I'm insensitive to what's said. There are a lot more contributors than when I started on TM and the three wheeler brigade have added a lot to the forum.

I suppose when I started there was a lot less about politics and personalities, and maybe less humour, but I still like logging on and reading the exchanges.

As do the 72 guests on line right now.

It's a great source of knowledge first and foremost and everything else is like a men's only pub.

The topics vary vastly some of it interesting the rest you don't have to read. As a predominantly men only venue some of the exchanges are bound to be robust at times but hey we are all adults aren't we.

Like Dave W perhaps I am desensitised to it having spent 48 years at the coalface and have never read anything I consider to be rude on here or pointed.
I exclude the "chuckle brothers" in that comment - there have been one or two vindictives on here that seem to visit under alias and refrain from comment these days.

In reply to a few of the anti Cars and Girls boys - when the hit rate starts to drop I will drop it.

I was member No 968 so the whole thing has grown big time since 2009 when I joined, sure the atmosphere has changed but that's life always evolving embrace it and be thankful for what we have here it is precious.
Like the TV there is a vast selection of buttons it's all about choice if you become too precious, humility is a wonderful thing.
