My 2012 keeps looking better and better every day even with all its problems. I thought the S&S engine was up to spec for some years yet. So the Euro specs are even more stringent than here in California?

I'd have to agree with that on some points. I think that the addition of the intake pipes are for purely dB reasons. The original hockey puck air cleaner cover was designed primarily to hide the sound of incoming air. The new style will do that even more. As soon as you remove it and the engine is allowed to breathe it becomes readily apparent. This engine sucks!

The new regs appear to neuter the vehicle even more. It has to meet clean air standards. It has to be quiet, hence the air intake and added baffles and reduction of hp. They're trying to make this a civilized automobile.

I love my 2012 now that I have it back. It is quieter where it counts, the drive train. It is louder where it counts, the muffler. This thing, my Blau Beastie, is loud and makes itself known to the rest of the world.

Whosoever buys the 'new' model will have to spend money and time returning it to what it must be.


What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

Will the euro 4 be the downfall of the m3w? It's hard on the eyes.

I do believe the M3W will continue to sell in low volumes.

There is still really nothing on the market to rival it!

BUT IF I bought one I would have to take all the E4 bits off !!!

I am happy that my 3W, which was produced about 2 weeks ago keeps the old style, without all the EU4 changes...

I agree. The challenge is that at some point everyone who wants one (and can afford one at the relatively stable price they achieve) will have one. Unless the model moves on a lot then the demand for new drops off. This certainly happened with Lotus Elise's/Exiges, and Lotus tried hard to differentiate across the models and model years.

Butt Ugly! I was thinking about ordering a new M3W the end of next year, but now I’ll put up with all the issues on my 2013 before I buy this 😝 thing.

Otherwise most of the Euro4 mods can be undone before delivery - including the ride height, Aussie intake, mirrors, ECU, and long rear lights.

The modifications are done at the factory post build by Aero Racing so the warranty is still intact.
