Can someone please tell me how the heater element is mounted in the square box on my 1989 4/4. Is it just pressed into the box ? I need to repair my heater for comming cold Swedish spring.

The heater element sits on the bulkhead with sealant to prevent water ingress and the plenum (box) sits over it and is screwed to the bulkhead. I trust that this helps.

Thank you ! I will go on to sort out a small leakage from the plenum. I can't see any moisture on the element.

I'm sorry I need more help. I need to take out the heater matrix from the plenum. I can't understand hos it's mounted. I has opened the plenum gable,is the matrix just pressed in place ? Appreciate your help !

You should be able to unbolt the heater box and remove it so that you can get to the heater matrix. There are a two bolts either side that hold the box down onto the top of the bulkhead. If you remove these you can lift the box off the heater matrix.

As David says, the matrix is stuck to the bulkhead with sealant.
