Hmmmm, Nurse, this man needs to drink more red wine! wine (no, I'm not a doctor but it's always been my self-medication of choice and supposedly good for the ticker).

Get well soon Peter and all the very best for the future. I'm sure they'll be looking after you well - cardiac care units have dedicated teams who, in my experience, are generally the best of the best. Great picture by the way - brings back a few memories for many of us I'm sure; TV reception looks a bit wobbly though thinking

Note to the rest of us: if you don't want a four hour wait in A and E, simply say 'I think there's something wrong with my heart' - not sure how they'll respond if you've only cut your finger. However, it's worked for me on more than one occasion and is second only to blacking out at reception in a doctor's surgery for speed of attention.

All the best to your family too grouphug

A speedy recovery also from me, Peter. I hope everything will become good and healthy again for you. Luckily you had enough time despite the delay to go to hospital.
Thanks for your advice/experience to take such symptoms seriously. I can understand why a some of us me included would try to ignore it. It is not part of every day life which wants to go on and on and on. You have made a very deep experience which now can turn to be a positve thing making the years to come even more valuable.

Sorry to read that Peter - hope you make a speedy recovery.

I had a couple of stents fitted last year - then a heart bypass with the full Alien special effects.

Do they know what caused the narrowing of the arteries?
