Your photos take me several years back in time. In the 1980's I used to help in a Rallycross team. We converted a Talbot Sunbeam TI, a Triumph Dolomite Sprint (with a Rover 3.5 V8) and a Rover SD1 with 3.5 V8 engine. I think I still have some photos somewhere in my archive.

Blimey! Exciting stuff. Do you cut the whole roof off in order to be able to fit a roll cage?

Blimey! Exciting stuff. Do you cut the whole roof off in order to be able to fit a roll cage? It certainly does help but its not essential. The roof has been removed for 3 reason. Firstly the original had a sunroof, secondly the underside of roof had the sunroof mounting points which made it heavy and thirdly I have a non sun roof light skin to put back on. The windscreen surround was removed because it had a rust hole, as I can but new it made sense to fit a new one as we are at this stage.

I was expecting to see a bit more seam-welding or is that in the next stage ? I am long way off from starting the stitch welding process. The car is being fully stripped first, lightened where possible, then its off for a 3 stage dipping process. Then the build begins
