Morgans over America runs on a 3 to 5 year cycle, and their latest run was in 2015. It would be a little early for them to try a run this year and no one has contacted us yet. Also, they prefer fall weather, and last time they ran from very early October to early November. The 2015 Trip Blog said there would be no more Morgans over America.

Shooter...How was the trip to hawaii? I cheated for Hawaii and my first ride in Alaska! I left my bike with a Sheriff in Washington nState and they dropped me at Portland airport. I flew up to Anchorage arriving after midnight. First thing in the morning I picked up a rental bike, rode to Seaward, took a plane ride over the ice fields and Denali and then rode up to Wasila, had dinner at a friends and then rode back for a midnight flight out to Honolulu via mainland US, arriving at 11 am. Borrowed a friend's Harley and rode a complete circuit of Oahu before flying back to Portland to get back on my bike. Effectively back to back day trips to Alaska and Hawaii. This was how I was able to do every State and Washington DC in 18 days! Went back to Alaska for a week on the bike in 2009, taking my mum as a passenger!

18 days. Boy you were travelling. We did Route 66 plus Las Vegas in 3 weeks & 3400 miles.

I'm a little disappointed but not surprised. It gets to be a grueling 40-day adventure, and you pretty much need to be retired to find the time. Most of the people we met on Day 34 were happy but saddle-sore. Steve Roark was one of those rare people who had the initiative, energy, and personality to make MOA happen. The MOA people gave me one of their cardboard "Steve Roark Memorial Tour" placards and it has a proud place in my Mogobilia collection.

Wow, shooter, thats some travelling.
In 2016 we did 31 states in our motorhome, it took 31/2 months, including Alaska, British Columbia, and Yukon.

Welcome Will to TM. What to take? 1) I would make sure you have a AAA Plus RV Premier RV membership all payed up. 2) A spare fuel pump. I’ve had to replace five in 15,000 miles. 3) Basic tools like you take on you take on your motorcycle trips. 3) Spare front tubs and a can of fix a flat for the rear. 4) A good cell phone to call AAA!
