Hi Ian. The TB mod is ever so easy and I haven’t found a down side to date. Here is my original posting. Yes I believe it does make a difference but you have to remember there is more pedal movement. I find myself forgetting that. I also remapped around the same time so it’s difficult to differentiate between the two mods. If you are a lazy driver like me you won’t notice much difference say below 4k rpm, the noticeable difference is above where it is more eager to rev.

Stanley’s engine (Black top Zetec) is standard as it left the factory 15 years ago.
This makes its performance even more remarkable.
Mind you, with 40,000+ miles on the clock, it is just nicely run in!

Thanks everybody for your help and advice. The car i have seen is a duratec 1800. Still cant deside, must be old age. oldgit Sold my first +8 chassis no 29 still have withdrawal symptoms. banghead

Ray, remember.....
the car could be a keeper with easy jump in and go with no worries. Little, if any, time spent in the garage doing age related work on the car. That is a big positive.
