Not so much reading, just looking at pictures of pretty cars Some great historic posters too - was thinking about getting one for the office - but which to choose https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=mille+...366&bih=638

I am reading all Eric ambler's novels, jolly good stuff. Thanks for this tip. I'd never heard of him. Downloaded a sample on Kindle and it's great. Off to buy the book at my local store later. Nick

Graham, I have an unused Leica MP (35mm) at home - is it worth selling?

Yes Neil. Just have a look at some of the dealer's lists and classifieds on the Leica Forum. Either that or buy some film

Just finished reading: Trenchard: Father of the Royal Air Force - the Biography: The Life of Viscount Trenchard, Father of the Royal Air Force Author - Russell Miller
Worth reading if you have an interest in the RAF in this centenary year.
I already knew that he was quite a character and that he had interesting views on strategy. However, there is a great deal in the book that I did not already know - most of it really fascinating - especially his friendship with T.E. Lawrence.

Rebus.
All of it/them.
Having never read any!
Ian Rankin is a near contemporary at Edinburgh University where I almost went to study English lit (he'd have moved into Phd territory as I arrived)... so there's an affinity with the changing world in which we/Rebus lives, and with the musical references.
I'm just over half way through the 20+ books - Rebus is still on vinyl records, computers have arrived. His Saab is running quite well.

My current favourite authors are Mick Herron (the Slough House series)and Ray Celestin (The Axeman's Jazz and Dead Man's Blues). Absolutely brilliant stuff.

Just today finished 'The Master & Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov - written in 1930s but unpublished until 1967. Pre-dates the 'American' post-modern metaphysical style of Pynchon, Foster-Wallace, DeLillo etc by decades. A fantastic read. Rather stuck on what to follow up with - I usually follow some type of thematic link between books.
