Just had an MOT advisory that the front o/s indicator is very dim. Once again, only the top and bottom two LEDs in the lamp unit are lit. All other indicators are fine, including the o/s rear.

Hopefully just a lamp issue - but I will report when I've investigated further.

I hope it's not the dreaded 'indicator module'. Mine is an early 2012 car and upon initial investigation the module does not look the same as Geralds, so getting a direct replacement may not be straight forward... Not that easy to get to either...

Oh dear, I hope for your sake it's something else, but I'm not holding my breath either.

Mine's still off the road, wrong part sent this week. Still, only three weeks off the road so far this Summer. I should be grateful, it was six last Summer.

Best of luck Andy, keep us informed.

See no reason why these won't fit - click for info

I'm using a 55mm reversing light from same source which fits perfectly inside an OE pod once the three mounting lugs are cut off. Cheap as well and you get a spare smile

I recently purchased a 'genuine' MMC rear brake light, including torpedo pod from Uncle Melvyn for around £46 inc VAT. Assuming that the indicator is a similar price I think it looks like unusually good value from MMC!

By the way, this is what my o/s front indicator looks like:

It looks brighter in the photo than it actually is!

Hi Andy, exactly the same as mine. I strongly suspect you will need the module as well. As we now know they are beginning to fail and the new stock is no improvement over the original. It would seem we will all be paying for the pleasure of further problems in a couple to three years time.

Oh happy day, the correct module turned up today, has been fitted and cured the problem......

Always a "but" though isn't there. It would now appear that my battery is not up to the job and has died. Hopefully to be replaced tomorrow.

Thanks to Richard for pointing out that the SVC lamp module price is for a pair - which makes them pretty good value.

Do you know roughly how much Morgan are charging for the module?

Sorry to hear about the battery. Makes me wonder whether it's time to replace mine. Stitch in time etc, etc.

Don't know the price yet. With luck I will be picking the car up on Saturday if they source a battery tomorrow.

I'll let you know the price as soon as I get the bill.

Sorry Andy, also meant to say, yes, in my opinion I'd get on and replace that battery now. Can't seem to locate the thread which talks about batteries more suited to the job of turning over two darn great pistons. As my dealer said today, "the battery isn't up to the job really".
