Or just use the standard caps that come with the Blockley inner tubes that the factory fit - they've got gaskets too.

Steering rack is definitely quaife. See my site for a simple mod to keep the rain out if you have one with the centering hole at the top.
Also discovered that Yuasa make a garden machinery battery that is the same size as the standard unit and slightly better spec - came from halfords.
