Got some really old (and cheap) spanners and sockets so was looking for an excuse to clear them out and renew my tool kit. smile

I've got a 2015 +4 Duratec. I assume the engine and gearbox are metric?

What about the Morgan parts - are they all metric as well or not and if not - what?

Thanks and sorry again if it been posted before - did quite a bit of searching but couldn't find the answer...

They are so variable - safe bet is that there probably is no Whitworth needed.

Seriously though Metric and A/F should cover you, they did for my 2009 4/4 Sport and both of my Plus8's a 94 and a 99..

My 1999 car has a combination of Metric, AF,Whitworth,UNF & BA. You never can tell what you'll find so upgrade your spanners by all means but the key word is "Replace"

Historically the components manufactured by MMC were Imperial (BSF), the mechanical elements followed their manufacturer I.e, SAE for the Rover V8, Kent engines, Metric for current engines.
Am I correct to assume that the BMW sourced components are ISO whilst the Mazda gearboxes / engines are JIS.
