Who would have thought that a fog light circuit would be so complicated and troublesome!

They introduced a rule for the rear fogs where they could only come on when headlights were on dip. They then had to cancel when switched off and the pcb would also cancel them so going back onto dip did not automatically put them back on. The rear fog switch was also of the type that was for activating the logic pcb, a “momentary on “ type.. AIM was to prevent the forgetful from driving with them on...not good for followers in the rain.

I was behind a dimwit (or drug/alcohol influenced) today. On a hill nearby is a traffic light controlled junction. Saw the car go through red and pause at the junction. As I got near lights changed to green but he stayed still, rolled back 3 times then went left without signalling. I had left a big gap idea
Followed him for 3 miles into misty low cloud. No fogs put on, I went onto dippedheadlights. He strayed over the line a few times. As I turned off he disappeared into the mist,
It is times like this that I wish for the numpty compensating automated systems on cars to help the challenged driver.

The Devon & Cornwall Constabulary have started checking drivers eyesight at all RTA's now as well as the drink/drugs checks so this should help remove a few of them.

Confirmed by BHM that a faulty PCB on my 2017 4/4 is the reason for the fog lamp remaining permantly on. They have no replacements are also waiting for the Factory to deliver - I won't hold my breath then!

Sorry to hear that I guess you now need a second switch in the circuit.
MMC is leaving all of us at risk with their toy town PCBs. I am on my second & as of now the lights are wired on permanently so it works!
