Greetings, all! This forum was plenty helpful in finalizing my decision to purchase a new, leftover 2017 M3W this week. So firstly, thank you!
I'll pick up my 'sport green/honey' baby tomorrow. The road to get here was an evolution of mindset and a return to my roots. I've always felt lucky to live during the time of the internal combustion engine. Never more so than now that the end may be in site. I've flown small aircraft, raced fast boats, sailed, toured on fast motorcycles and owned many, many stupidly powerful cars.
To make space for this, I actually sold a AMG GTS (as well as an Alpina B7). Both truly great cars. But what I missed despite their sophistication and power, was any appeal to my soul. As cars become insanely powerful and technologically advanced, they lose connection to humanity. I guess that's why my '08 Ural sidecar rig has outlasted multiple BMW K-bikes. There's just something special about rawness of propulsion with exposure to the elements that makes a gear-head feel...alive!
So I look forward to many happy touring days with this M3W, tinkering with it in the garage and scraping bugs from my teeth.

Welcome, that was a great introduction post! Indeed the M3W is a whole different experience from anything else on 3 or 4 wheels, and the only vehicles that come close to that experience are motorbikes. I wish you many, many miles of fun with it!

welcome! I sold 3 bikes, including a R90 and R100 boxer before ordering the M3W. On the Distinguished Gentelmen's Ride this fall out of Phila there were two ladies riding a Ural sidecar rig - very cool! They, along with me, were the only folks on 3-wheels :-)

Awesome. All you need now is a Plus 8 to complete the set! Enjoy the M3W. You will get an awful lot of joy from the pleasure they bring to everyone who sees them. Expect to strike up a lot of conversations with complete strangers!

PIcked her up today!
I don't care how clean a dealer thinks a car is upon delivery, my first task is always to detail it. This one is no different. Next step is to drive it to understand it while the weather holds.
I'm pretty OCD when it comes to cosmetics, suspension and mechanical optimization. So it won't be long before the 'upgrades' are ordered for winter DIY projects. This is just a very cool and worthy toy to fixate upon.
