I've never been too impressed with the leather. Mine looks like it has "runs" in it like it was sprayed with something. Didn't look great new.

Still no answer from Morgan. Started this claim in late September. Ridiculous.

Heard from dealer today. Morgan has agreed to replace the leather. Dealer is suggesting that Morgan supply the leather and local talent here stitched the covers more deeply ( as the 2012-13 cars were) so that the stitching is not exposed as it is on later cars. We shall see.

The latest... MMC has four warranty claims... mine, another at my dealership, another US owner, and a UK owner who is taking his car to the factory on February 10 where the leather company and the MMC upholstery shop will assess. MMC has agreed that dying isn’t a solution. I’m guessing that these four cars were done in close sequence and whomever was at the sewing machine didn’t do things correctly. We’ll see. After seeing the car at the factory, MMC will make a decision and let my dealer know. Right now they’re thinking of sewing new covers there ( I’ll send a sample of my leather) for installing here.

On Drew Pritchard's "Salvage Hunter Classic Cars" recently, they did a refit of an MGC interior. They used a specialist upholsterer, and interestingly he said that the stitching and pleating had to be done the opposite way on the drivers, and passengers seat. This was because as you slide into the seat, it pulls on the stitching and if it's not done in the right alignment it will pull, and wear the leather prematurely.
