If spots on a badge bar isn’t an option, then this was the set I was thinking of.

Too close together to be legal possibly? Although someone did do an elongated badge bar with spot light badge bar brackets a while ago when I had my first Morgan I think it might have been Heart of England Morgan but not entirely sure It was about 4 years ago Just been on the HofEM website and it’s not there so it might not have been them They do have an elongated square section badge bar and spot brackets but the badge bar fits to the bumper brackets and replicates a 60’s design so no good I wonder if I saw it in Melvin’s catalogue or was it Librands?

I beefed up my numberplate box & fastened them to tahat as Dave W said - sadly you can`t do that. My "spots" are very neat and are 4.4" motorcycle headlights from Europa Spares and just wired to dip setting. They have often been admired as they are small, matt black and fit in well with the 4/4 sport look.

and just wired to dip setting. Is that legal? I thought spots had to be wired so they only worked on main beam?

Craig, have you considered some LED spots mounted inside your Valance vents ?
You can see mine in the LED Headlamps thread, page 7

and just wired to dip setting. Is that legal? I thought spots had to be wired so they only worked on main beam? I think you're right about that Tim. As I understand it, auxiliary spots or driving lights must be wired via the main beam. Fog lights can be wired separately but must only be used at times of low visibility which I believe is usually taken to be less than about 100m. I've never been tempted to fit spot lights because main beam is more than adequate for road driving and you can't use them on dipped beam anyway. ( I hope I've got that right ) If they can legally be used with dipped beam then I would be tempted. However nothing beat the look of 4 giant Cibie Oscars on the front of the MK1 Escorts back in the days of the Motoring News Rally Championship. Might look a bit silly on my 4/4 though.
