I think if you want to achieve the catalog's measurement times, you have to rape the car extremely. I've been afraid of that so far.
when I was younger I would have given it a try. At that time I had a quick low diff +8 , when I first had it I thought it would not go round corner's, until I realized I was arriving at the corner 30mph faster than in my old 4/4

I love that story laugh2 laugh2

One of the reasons for the shorter 0-62 time for the early Roadster, compared to the Rover +8 was gearing. The Roadster can (just) reach 62 in second. On standard gearing, the +8 (Rover) needs an extra shift into 3rd.

Just come across this Rich, you’re right our base is now Eton, though we are still travelling a lot - been to 88 countries at the last count! Bucket list has another 12-countries in it!

Basically MMC have completely rebuilt SP1, it still looks the same but has been completely re-engineered under the body. It’s due to be collected again in early April when we get back from our latest trip - through the Panama Canal.

Unfortunatley it is now unlikely there will ever be an SP2 as the Development Team have been very occupied with the new models and just keeping up with the ever changing legislation and changing motive power in the industry.

Thanks for the update on SP1 Brian I was wondering why she was back at the factory.

Enjoy your trip through the Panama I imagine that will really be quite something special.

Have you had your Moss Box returned to the original colour yet or is she still a work in progress ?

You have reawakened the drooling over your Rocket Blue Morgan again on the other thread smile

Good to hear the factory are busy in the development side but a shame in a way they no longer have the resource for these special projects that really do spark the imagination off.

The old Plus 8 is in Eton, but needs an MOT so am not currently driving it. The team that is working on SP1 is the team that will also work on the Plus 8, so will drive it up on trade plates once SP1 is finished.

I agree it’s a shame no more Special Projects for now, but when you see the new model range that is being launched this year - the amount of development work involved will be obvious.

Panama trip after the Geneva Press days, an interesting month....

A highlight to look forward to is sailing under "The Bridge of Americas" and to think you can drive on that road all the way to Alaska! There is also a Panama Canal website with CCTV cameras so we can all watch you sailing through the locks!! Have fun! boat
