Thank you.

No glowing exhaust pipes any more - so I assume at least a slight reduction of cylinder head temperatures too..

Lightspeed remove only the front baffle or cut a 32mm hole. Stage 1 or G56 exhausts reduce back pressure. A hole is cheaper.

Heck, my '17's headers glowed red like a branding iron. Recently removed the cat's, 1st and 3rd baffles and installed a Stealth intake before wrapping the pipes. Been snowed in and havent had a chance to drive it yet. Hoping for cooler, happier jugs and not losing my eardrums.

What's the law in Connecticut regarding helmets and 3 wheelers?

In Vermont, by the book, the helmet is required as the car is classed as a motorcycle. I've been given a written warning in VT and have found that NY and MA are hard nosed about it. NH doesn't give a damn. Something about freedom but I honestly think the state needs organ donors...

Back to topic, a helmet helps with the noise. I also carry 3M ear plugs. The end of the tail pipe is about 2-1/2 feet from the left ear! I've been wearing a helmet more and more as it's a great way to keep the noggin warm at the beginning and end of riding season. Also as a defense measure, one June bug in the middle of the forehead at speed will surely smart!

What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

In CT, the M3W is registered as a motorcycle. No driver helmet required and only a passenger under 18 is required to wear one.

Just over a year ago Missouri passed a "Cycle Car" category for the trikes that do not fit traditional trike standards, such as a saddle to straddle and handlebars, not a steering wheel.

In this category you do not need a "M" endorsement on your driver's license, but still are required to wear a helmet. That's odd, but it's still a motorcycle sorts and in MO you have to wear a helmet to ride a 2 or 3 wheeler. With the advent of all the Polaris Slingshots being sold in the state, not many of the drivers had the "M" endorsement so a lot of lobbying went on and they got the law tweaked to the "Cycle Car".

Georgia no longer needs the M endorsement but must wear helmet, licensed as motorcycle
