did somebody have knowledge how to change the standart silencer with the sport silencer on a 4/4 from 2009. I bought one and I don't know if I have to remove the hole exhaust or only rear the part? I have a strait one not with side pipe.

You need to undo the clamp just behind the cat. It’s easier to undo the clamp at the rear of the silencer too, undo the fittings to the tailpipe section and then slide that back from the silencer to allow the silencer to be pulled off the front mounting. Some twisting of the silencer and pipes will probably be required to release them!
It’s quite a straightforward job and I’d replace the support bobbins at the same time as they may have deteriorated.

Thank you very much John for your professional explanations. I will do it this weekend with a friend or one of my son! I hope the support bobbins are still ok but you are right you never know after 9 years!

If the rubber bobbins need replacing, traditional Mini ones are the correct size.

I changed the standard system on my Plus 4 to a Librands system and found that I needed larger "U" clamps and a new silencer to cat clamp. Do have some exhaust paste to hand as well.
